MILK STREET VINTAGE MARKET

Dark Bull

Dark Bull started in Digbeth- its home to our flagship store, I’m a true Brummie through & through bab! Giving the Nod to our beloved city, honouring our iconic Bullrings Bull and of course I’m the typical bloody minded Taurean, stubborn with Strong like Bull mindset. The huge Textiles problem our planet is facing has been the driving force behind building a more sustainable route to style. Working hard to fight the battle against textiles waste & pollution intrinsically linked to the fast fashion industry.

Vintage & Retro

Our stores are home to an eclectic array of Vintage, Retro, Rare & preloved style pieces. I want you to love what you find, style it with passion, wear it with respect so your pieces become part of a treasured collection that holds memories & histories. Our stores all have unique personalities for you to vibe in. We are different and as long as you bring good vibes your always welcome. Dark Bull style is gender neutral, not even slightly interested in fashion rules, DB believes that personal style is an individual expression of your soul, a fluid journey as you move through life.

Our Label

We’ve now thoughtfully created our own clothing label. The DB collections are reinvented, repurposed & reworked, all new own label style pieces produced are GOTS approved, ethically sourced using only organic Cottons & recycled materials & backed by the fair wear foundation. All our designs are printed locally using Vegan Approved water based inks, designed to age beautifully on quality garments made to last, so our collections will one day become Vintage pieces to pass through generations.

Lauren Broxton

Lauren Broxton is a designer and maker of bespoke, contemporary leather goods, built to stand the test of time. Inspired by the dynamics of the forgotten British post-industrial, she creates robust, resilient pieces crafted entirely from reclaimed saddlery leather, in homage to the heritage of her hometown. Driven by a need for interdependence in design, she forges close working relationships with local craftspeople, resulting in the marriage of traditional craft and modernity whilst ensuring circularity.

Characterised by distinctively bold, sculptural silhouettes, Lauren’s romanticised vision of the everyday aims to capture the extraordinary that lies amidst the ordinary. Drawing inspiration from art, politics and sociology, her work explores themes of class, sex and gender, often influenced by castigated groups in society. Innovative approaches to leatherwork strike the balance between the industrial and the artisanal, resulting in unique objects that can never be truly replicated.
